Point of Sale Inspection

The requirements of the Point of Sale Inspection were recently amended and will go into effect July 16, 2015. Along with determining compliance with residential smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector requirements, the Village Building Inspector will now also be required to determine that the property is in compliance with our Exterior Property Maintenance Code as well as ensuring that there are no safety hazards present. A safety hazard is considered any condition which could cause serious or life-threatening injury or death at any time.
