Deer Management Program

Cleveland Metroparks will be continuing its deer management program to reduce the impact of deer browsing in accordance with their population estimates and browsing impacts on habitat in various reservations.

They are planning deer management at Acacia and South Chagrin Reservations for one to two evenings during the last week of November or first week of December.  On management days, the reservations will be closed to the public beginning at 4:30pm and remain closed until 6:00am the following morning.  All roads, trails, and facilities will be posted with signs and barricades.  Safety remains the utmost concern of Cleveland Metroparks.  Continuing with past practice, the Park District will donate the venison to local food banks.

If you have any questions, please contact the Cleveland Metroparks Marketing Department at 216-635-3200.
