Forest Ridge Preserve Damage

6/12/2020

It is with a heavy heart that we must report that some damage has taken place in Forest Ridge Preserve. Some trees have been spray painted and a non-permitted mountain bike track was recently constructed. As part of the Village’s agreement with the Western Reserve Land Conservancy, this preserve is under strict preservation guidelines and the following activities are not permitted within the preserve:

  • Mountain Bikes
  • Cross Country Skis
  • Horses
  • Motorized vehicles

We have taken immediate efforts to identify those responsible and have made some headway. But we also need your help. Please contact Village Hall immediately if you notice the use of mountain bikes or any other non-approved use taking place in the preserve. If after hours or on weekends please contact the non-emergency number for Chagrin Valley Dispatch and report this activity so that our police department can be dispatched to investigate. The non-emergency number for CVD is 440.247.7321.

Please help us to keep this pristine area preserved for future generations.
