Ordinances & Resolutions


The following Ordinances & Resolutions were passed in February:

Ordinance 2014-10 an ordinance to approve and adopt current replacement pages to the Codified Ordinances. This is a yearly housekeeping item to update our Ordinances.

Ordinance 2014-11 an ordinance which provides door-to-door solicitation regulations that balance the Village’s interests in crime prevention and the First Amendment rights of persons wishing to engage in door-to-door canvassing.

Ordinance 2014-12 an ordinance to establish the Village of Moreland Hills Building Department. The Village desires to be certified by the Ohio Board of Building Standards to enforce the Ohio State Building Code with respect to non-residential buildings.

Ordinance 2014-13 an ordinance authorizing a request to the Ohio Board of Building Standards to enforce the Ohio State Building Codes within the Village with respect to non-residential buildings.

Ordinance 2014-14 an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to purchase a Caterpillar Skid Steer Loader from Ohio CAT through the State of Ohio Department of Administrative Services/State Term Schedule Contract. This equipment is a replacement for the current skid steer loader, at a cost not to exceed $64,252.00.

Ordinance 2014-15 an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Eclipse Co., LLC for the SOM Center Road Storm Sewer Extension Project for an amount not to exceed $83,841.32.

Ordinance 2014-16 an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept a temporary work easement from Mitchell Bass for the installation of a storm sewer connection at the property known as 4830 SOM Center Road, for the SOM Center Road Storm Sewer Project.

Ordinance 2014-17 an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept a temporary work easement from Mushtaq Ahmed for the installation of a storm sewer connection at the property known as 4870 SOM Center Road, for the SOM Center Road Storm Sewer Project.

Ordinance 2014-18 an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept a temporary work easement from Angela Huang for the installation of a storm sewer connection at the property known as 4850 SOM Center Road, for the SOM Center Road Storm Sewer Project.

Ordinance 2014-19 an appropriations ordinance, which represents the annual budget.
