NEORSD Stormwater Fee Credit Program

Chagrin River Watershed Partners (CRWP) and other local watershed organizations are working with the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) to identify ways to help residents effectively manage stormwater on their properties and obtain fee credits to reduce their stormwater management program fees.  CRWP is scheduling several focus groups the week of August 6th and are seeking volunteers to participate in the groups.  Volunteers will provide input on stormwater topics including:

  • Installing rain gardens, rain barrels or permeable pavement
  • Obtaining a credit to reduce your stormwater management program fees
  • Potential funding or cost-share assistance to help you install stormwater control measures like rain gardens, rain barrels or permeable pavement.

Each volunteer will receive a $20 gift card to Home Depot (supported by the Cleveland Foundation) and be entered into a raffle to win a rain barrel generously provided by NEORSD as a thank-you for participating!

The following focus groups are scheduled:

  • Monday, August 6th from 6PM-8PM at Beachwood Community Center, 25255 Fairmount Blvd., Beachwood, 44122.
  • Tuesday, August 7th from 6PM-8PM at Stephanie Tubbs Jones Community Building, 3450 Lee Road, Shaker Heights, 44120.

All volunteers must be rate-paying property owners in the NEORSD service area.  Your input will be used to enhance the NEORSD’s Regional Stormwater Management Program stormwater fee credit program. Ultimately, we hope to help NEORSD customers effectively manage stormwater on their properties, reduce flooding, support healthier waterways and Lake Erie, and contribute to a better quality of life for the Greater Cleveland area!

If you would like to take part in the focus groups, please respond by August 2nd by contacting Christina Znidarsic by e-mail at Focus groups will be limited to 10 participants each.  Thank you!
