Police Officers


  Patrolman Thomas Pate hired on May 13th, 2015 grew up in Twinsburg Ohio and is a United States Army Veteran of the Persian Gulf War. He has been in law enforcement for over fifteen years. He previously worked at the Summit County Sheriff's Office where he worked in Corrections, Gang Unit, Patrol and the Summit County Crash Unit. Tom and his wife Tracy currently live in Akron
  The newest member of Moreland Hills Police Department, Amy Krall, was born in Misawa, Japan in 1986. She grew up in Avon Lake and graduated from Midpark High School where she played varsity basketball all four years. She attended Cleveland Heights Police Academy and earned awards for Fitness Achievement Run and Crime Scene Investigation. She previously worked for Kelley’s Island Police Department, Southwest General Hospital Security Department and the Village of Richfield Police Department. She said, “I now have the privilege to work for the Village of Moreland Hills as a full-time Police Officer. I look forward to serving this community and am honored to be part of a great Police Department.”
  Jeff Canter has worked for the Village of Moreland Hills for almost a year. Ptl. Canter started his law enforcement career at the age of 21 as a patrol officer with the City of Cleveland Heights in 1996. In 1999 Jeff joined the Maple Heights Police Department serving as a patrol officer, before working as an undercover narcotics investigator with the regional Southeast Area Law Enforcement team. From 2004 to 2014 Jeff worked as a Major Case Detective for the Maple Heights Police Department. Jeff is the proud father of three girls and enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. Jeff is also the Co-owner of BlueLine Classics, a classic car dealership in North Royalton.
  Officer Laura Park started her career in law enforcement in 1993. She worked in North Randall Police Department and was a lieutenant in the Maple Heights Police Department before making the move to Moreland Hills. She is married to Douglas Park who is also a police officer and together they have three children. Officer Laura Park organized and trained the Color Guard made up of Moreland Hills Police officers Lt. Todd Dietzel, Officer Scott Bennett, Sergeant Ross Fowler and herself. She is a very community-oriented police officer who handed out bicycle safety awards over the July 4th holiday and recently won an award from AAA for motorcycle safety.
