Teen Volunteers Needed

Monday, July 29 – Friday, August 2

Teen Volunteers are needed for the One-Week Summer Safety Town Program at Orange Community Education & Recreation.  Teens will assist with the program at the Pepper Pike Learning Center, working directly with children ages 4-5 who are entering kindergarten in the fall.  Volunteers must commit to work the entire week from 8:30am until 12:30pm.

All volunteers must attend a MANDATORY training session on Friday, July 26 from 9:00am to 12:00pm.  All Safety Town volunteers are required to attend this training session or will not be able to volunteer for the program.  The training session is an important part as staff will discuss the format for this year's program and prepare the lessons for the children.

Police Officers from Moreland Hills, Pepper Pike, Woodmere, and surrounding areas will once again be running this year's Safety Town.  This one-week comprehensive safety program teaches children about fire safety, water safety, gun safety, pedestrian safety, bike safety, bus safety, and poison safety.
