Todd Dietzel Sworn in as Executive Lieutenant
The Moreland Hills Police Department is fortunate to be staffed with so many quality and talented officers. Each brings a different and unique set of skills to the table. Placing the right person, skill set, and personality into a specific assignment can be a challenge, therefore a great deal of thought and consideration must be given to job assignments.
With the promotion of Lt. Wyant to Chief, the position of Executive Lieutenant was vacant. The selection of Todd Dietzel to fill the role of Executive Lieutenant was difficult in that the other candidates are also highly qualified, but it was easy to the degree that he displayed the obvious ability to do well in that role. Todd’s background, experience, and enthusiasm made him an excellent candidate for such an important assignment. Chief Wyant stated, “I feel I can work well with Lt. Dietzel to move the department forward and accomplish the tasks and challenges that the Police Department will face in the future. Lt. Dietzel brings a high degree of energy to every assignment he has undertaken and I have come to expect that from him.” Todd Dietzel was sworn in on November 3 by Mayor Susan Renda.
